Who we are

JOINT puts together 14 EU and extra-EU partners in a three-year joint research and dissemination effort coordinated by the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI), and launched in March 2021. JOINT’s consortium has been set up with the aim to achieve the project’s scientific, policy, networking and public impact –– according to the highest standards. The consortium’s make-up meets the following criteria: academic excellence, well-established reputation, experience in international projects, a mix of strong international networking and well-rooted presence in countries of origin, appropriate mix of academic institutions and think tanks, solid expertise in the policy fields relevant to the project, geographical representation, and gender balance.
The consortium includes 14 partners based in seven EU Member States (Belgium, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain), one EU candidate country (Turkey), and four third-countries (Ethiopia, Indonesia, Norway, Ukraine).
